Fashion for a good cause

In my previous posts I talked about how fashion has helped me boost up my self-confidence and how it can help other girls as well who are insecure about themselves. Fashion is not restricted to anyone and it is a constantly changing world where the ideology of beauty keeps changing. One day thin girls are beautiful and the other day healthy girls are the one who represent what it is to be a model. In this ever changing world, there are several things that are actually being done for a good cause. Let’s take for example last week’s first charity focused sale organized by Re-See who collect donations with women in the world of fashion in order to finance Breast Cancer research with the funds received from the sales. In the article about the good cause of fashion, Marshall describes each article as being a reflection of that person. Obviously, people nowadays are very concerned about their looks and how they are reflected as a fashionista by someone else. This article gives details about fashion serving to fund a good cause but also how important those fashion items are. They reflect not only the people who wear it, but such clothes are a masterpiece that needs to be given value to. In the world of fashion, one thing is for sure, lux garments such as Yves Saint Laurent or even Dolce&Gabbana are items have their place mostly under the spotlights where fashion models are walking the ramp to showcase the new collections of these designers or late designers. Funding Breast Cancer research is one of the good causes of fashion, there are several good causes in which fashion is involved, for instance fashion shows and beauty pageants are often organized to fund several good causes that involves cancer, children and women. Cindy Sherman stated that the garments will bring light to this important cause, she could not have said it any better, knowing what to wear and how to wear it can define what the product is and how the person wearing it is. It is good to see how the money is being re-distributed in a respectful way and worthy of being applauded. These are one of the several advantages of fashion, in my next posts, I will give more details about the other advantages and the disadvantages as well.
